1. BURJ KHALIFA

Excavation started in January 2004, and 1 325 days after, Burj Khalifa was completed.

2. ABRAJ AL BAIT TOWERS

The Abraj Al Bait Towers, also called Mecca Royal Hotel Clock Tower, is the second tallest building in the world and the tallest building in Saudi Arabia. It is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. At the beggining it was intended for building to be 485 meters tall, and in July 2010 it has been released that the final height will be 601 meters. So, today, it is 601 metres (1 972 ft) high and it costs over 1,5 billion US dollars.

3. TAIPEI 101

Taipei 101 is the third tallest building in the world, generally known as the Taipei World Financial Center, located in Taipei, Taiwan. Taipei 101 was designed by C.Y. Lee & partners and constructed in 1999 by KTRT Joint Venture. Taipei 101 is 508 m high, roof is 448 m high and top floor 438 m high, and weigh up to 705,130 tonnes.  Taipei 101 has 101 floors above terrain and 5 floors subterranean.

4. SHANGHAI WORLD FINANCIAL CENTER

The Shanghai World Financial Center is the tallest building in China. It is situated in the Pudong region of Shanghai, China. It was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by the Mori Building Company.  Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) was completed in August 28, 2008 as the tallest skyscraper in China, even bigger than its neighbor Jinmao Tower. It has 101 floors and it is 492 meters high.

5. INTERNATIONAL COMMERCE CENTRE

The International Commerce Centre ( ICC Tower) is situated in West Kowloon, Hong Kong. It has 118 floor, and it’s 484 m (1,588 ft) tall. It is a part of the Union Square project built on top of Kowloon Station. Constructoion is owned by MTR Corporation Limited and Sun Hung Kai Properties. It is currently the tallest building in Hong Kong. The tower opened in 2011, first it was Hotel opening in late March and then the observatory in early April.

6. PETRONAS TOWERS

Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world from April 15th, 1996 until October 17th, 2003 when Taipei 101 (Financial Center) was topped out at 508m (1 676 ft). It consists of 2 identical structures rising 452 metres (1 483 ft) on the site of a former race track in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Each tower was built by another company, and they competed who will finish first. Both towers were finished at the same time.

7. ZIFENG TOWER

Zifeng Tower, also known as Greenland Center-Zifeng Tower or Greenland Square Zifeng Tower, is a 450 metre building completed in 2009 in Nanjing, China. It is one of the 10 tallest building in the world. The 89 floor construction has space for offices, restaurants and other facilities.  A public observation deck on the 72nd floor, near the top of the building offers views of the Ningzheng Ridge Mountains, Xuanwu Lake, the Yangtze River.

8. WILLIS TOWER

It is 443 metres high, with 110 floors, and it is situated in the centre of Chicago, Illinois, USA. The Kingkey 100, KK 100, also known as Kingkey Finance Center Plaza, is a skyscraper in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, China. It is located in Shenzhen’s Luohu District which is financial centre. Kingkey 100 is 441.8 mertes tall, with 100 floors. That is, curently, the 10th tallest building in the world, and the tallest in Shenzen. Before Kingkey 100, on that area, there was, Caiwuwei Village. The developer had the creative vision to form a company with the villagers, making them stakeholders.

10. GUANGZHOU INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CENTER

Guangzhou International Finance Center, also known as Guangzhou West Tower is situated at Zhujiang Avenue West in Tianhe District at Guangzhou, China. With 103 floors, including 4 basement, it is 440 meters (1,444 ft) high it is among 10 the tallest buildings in the world. The building’s value is £ 280 million. Construction of GIFC started in December 2005, and completed in 2010. The building is used as a bussines centre, hotel and office building.
